About Me

I'm Anuja, a home-maker since the last 25 years, currently residing in Abu Dhabi over the last 5 years, originally hailing from Mumbai. I am a food enthusiast who likes to try novel delicacies as much as exploring various attempts at making them.

I have always had the fondness for cooking, as it emerged mainly out of my son's love for food, for he strongly believes in the 'Live to Eat' motto for life. Through the span of the last 20-odd years, it has been my humble attempt to grow from 'making' food to 'cooking' food.

The real driving force and inspiration behind developing my passion for cooking has to be my mother, who has mastered every aspect of cooking, boiling, frying, roasting, sizzling and continues to do so, tirelessly.

Through my 20-year long association with Mumbai, which is a city of countless cuisines in itself, I have attended numerous learning courses spanning across a plethora of savories such as mughlai, punjabi, chinese and mexican cuisines, sizzlers, barbeque and grill items as also mocktails, Italian desserts, Ice creams, chocolates, bengali sweets and finally bread and biscuits. Learning cakes and pastries at the Catering College has truly been a fantastic and distinguishing experience, which I also consider as my forte. My interests lie in non-vegetarian delicacies ranging from soups to kebabs to grills to main courses !!

This blog has solely been an effort of my niece, Shirin, currently based in New York City, who has constantly pushed and convinced me to sharing the little knowledge and expertise that I may have to the benefit of all people alike.

While I dedicate this blog to my family, it will serve me immense pleasure if the recipes, tips and posts within this blog address the need of any individual.

I will appreciate your feedback, comments and suggestions through the following contact details:
